Claire had an excellent Christmas! She has more toys than she knows what to do with :) We spent Christmas Eve at Nana and Papa's house. Claire loved eating all of the appetizers on the coffee table. If we could read Claire's little mind, I think she would have said:"This is cheese heaven, why don't we do this everyday?" Despite our best efforts to keep Claire on her routine, her Christmas excitement could not be contained and she decided bedtime should be optional on Christmas Eve. After happily babbling on and off in her crib for about 2 hours, we let get up at 10:00pm to help us open more Christmas presents. Claire is totally in to ripping open wrapping paper and helped us open almost every gift. Thankfully she conked out at 11:00pm and slept until 8:00am the next morning.
Christmas day we headed to Rochester. Claire opened more presents and played with Grandpa and Grandma in the basement (her favorite place). When it came time to take a nap we thought for sure Claire would be exhausted from the night before and take a nice long nap. Well, it wasn't to be. Even with our best rocking and soothing attempts Claire would not nap (Mom and Dad could have definitely used one). Thankfully she was a good mood for the rest of the night. Uncle Dan, Aunt Jean, Cousin Dexter, and baby Lucy came over around 4:00pm for dinner and more presents. By Christmas Day Claire was a pro at ripping wrapping paper. She liked to deliver presents from under the tree to their intended recipient. Claire and Dex also had fun chasing each other around the table after dinner.
We will post photos from Christmas Day this weekend.
"Sit still for a family photo, I don't think so."

Play fruit that can be 'cut' open with a pretend knife.
'How do you like them apples?'
'Wait, wait I'm allowed to play with a knife on Christmas?'
'No I will not smile, thank you very much.'
'This is MY remote control!'
