While most people spend the Fourth of July relaxing or barbequing, we were working hard ripping out carpet in the dining room and living room. Later in July we are having the hardwood floors refinished in both of those rooms, the staircase, and our bedroom. We are very excited about this home improvement project, but it is quite the undertaking - we have to move out all the furniture, rip up the current carpet, then move everything back, and then move it again in a few weeks for the floor refinishers. Thanks Nana and Papa for helping us out. I am especially looking forward to no more carpet in the dining room, having a toddler who still has learning to aim food in her mouth and occasionally throws food she doesn't like - not having to scrub ziti out of the carpet is a happy day!
