Leaping into March

It was a quiet weekend indoors with Claire, and with the exception of a Tops and Walmart run we didn't have anywhere to go. So we spent this blustery weekend indoors reading books. Julie and I cannot get over how much Claire likes to sit and read. Throughout the day she takes out all of her books, spreads them all over the family room floor, and flips through each of them multiple times.  We are surprised since in the family-room we have the laugh and learn kitchen, laugh and learn house, dino-popper, bead maze, drum, xylophone, 6 different stacker toys, 10+ stuffed animals, shape sorters and 4 other bins of miscellaneous toys...and she picks the books. She is a girl after my own heart. So not surprisingly the photos from the weekend are of her reading books.

Claire has always been able to find a lap, but with her increasing focus on books, she now will slowly back up in to your lap trying to gauge when to sit down.
