This weekend Claire and I made a batch of cupcakes and it went surprisingly well. Claire was very excited about the final product, although we had to remind her that cupcakes are only for dessert and not for lunch!
Claire is becoming quite the conversationalist and we are constantly surprised by the words she puts together. Below are a few from this this weekend.
At school the kids have started to learn their last names and last names of their classmates. Claire can say almost of all of the last names of the kids in her class.
Daddy: Claire what is your last name?
Claire: Bezek
Daddy: What is Daddy's last name?
Claire: Daddy Big Boy
Daddy: No it's not what is mommy's last name?
Claire: Mommy Little Girl.
Daddy: No its not, what is your last name?
Claire: Bezek
Daddy: And Daddy's and Mommy's last name?
Claire: Daddy Big Boy and Mommy Bezek!
Mommy: Is it time for Tessa (her doll) to go to bed?
Claire: Bedtime for Tessa!
Mommy: Do you rock Tessa before bed?
Claire: No silly mommy, cupcake (Claire tucked her doll in bed with a play cupcake).
After I jammed my finger in the door.
Claire: Mommy hurt finger in door.
Mommy: Yes I hurt my finger, can your kiss it and make it better.
Claire: No monkey kiss mommy finger (she ran and got her Monkey to give me kisses)

First we had to put the cupcake wrappers in the pan.
Hey mom, could you hurry it up, I want cupcakes!
Helping mommy dump the cake mix.
Adding the water:
And the oil:
Ok, I need a spoon, unless you want me to use my hands.
Claire's favorite part, the stirring.
Claire did a pretty good job of getting the batter in to the cupcake pans.
They did need a little clean-up before going in the oven.
