This weekend we did a lot of raking. Daddy made a large pile of leaves and Claire loved playing with them. We would throw her in to the pile and she would say: 'more, more'. On Sunday the college students had their annual Fall Sweep community service event, where they rake resident's lawns. Usually they only do the main streets of Fredonia, but this year they added side streets as well and we were happy be to included.
Claire was very intrigued when 15 students assembled on our lawn to rake our front yard. What usually takes us an entire afternoon took them 20 minutes. Claire kept saying 'rake, rake' as they worked. Claire also helped mommy deliver apple cider to the volunteers. I would pour the cider in to the cup and Claire would take the cup and deliever it to one of the students. Claire took her job very seriously, after she would deliver a cup she would run back to me and make the sign for 'more'.
