Sick Day

Claire has had a cough for a while, but starting Sunday night it got worse. After a rough day at school on Monday and an equally rough night I stayed home with her to take her to the doctor. She was especially clingy all day, wanting to just cuddle on my lap. The doctor said both her ears looked infected and the cough/runny nose also warranted some antibiotics. She will be out of daycare at least one more day or until her fever breaks.

One of my cute moments today was when she woke up from her afternoon nap and I was feeding her a bottle on my lap. She finished and just melted into my chest, nuzzling and snuggling like she used to do when she was first born. Every two minutes or so she would look up and say 'Da-Da', and I would comfort her saying 'yes baby girl, Da-da has you.' I hope as she grows I will look back and remember the little joys even the sick days.

Mommy found these great shoes online, Squeaker Sneakers. When Claire walks properly they squeak. The squeaking part was removed 1.5 seconds after the video was shot.
