300th post!

With 70 degree temperatures this weekend we spent a lot of time outdoors. On Saturday we went to a different park.  It has much better baby swings and Claire loved them.  After the park we went to lunch in the village and Claire had her first grilled cheese and tomatoes.  Of course she loved them, Claire loves anything with cheese :)

Claire is starting to make the transition from two naps to one.  As we have been told by many parents it can be a rocky transition.  At daycare Claire transitioned to one nap in the afternoon about a month ago.  At home she still takes two.  We asked her teachers how she is able to make it on one nap, at home she is rubbing her eyes by 10:00am, ready for a nap.  They told us with all the stimulation in the room, many parents report that their children make the transition to one nap sooner at daycare.

On Sunday Claire took her morning nap as usual.  After lunch we took the stroller out for a ride down to the park and then a walk around town.  We got back around 2:30pm, Claire usually goes down for her afternoon nap by 3:00pm.  Well the little miss, did not seem one bit tired.  At 3:00pm Cory took her upstairs and when he wasn't back at 3:20pm, I knew something wasn't right.  I went upstairs and tried to put her down with no luck.  Cory tried again and at 4:00pm we admitted defeat.  Well almost.  I took her for a stroller ride at 4:00pm hoping it would do the trick, but no dice.

Thankfully Claire was in a pretty good mood.  After dinner we did what any parents with a toddler who hasn't napped do - go for ice cream!  Claire had her first taste of strawberry ice cream.  She wasn't the biggest fan - that's OK Claire, more for mommy.  After her bath, she passed out at 7:30pm.
