A little while ago we posted a video of Claire putting on and taking off her Sabres hat that Mom made. Much to our surprise we were sitting in the kitchen while dinner was in the oven, Claire disappears into the dining room and comes back in with her winter hat on her head. She had dug it out of her school bag and put it on correctly, a difficult task considering it has two ear flaps. Julie and I could not stop laughing.
Since she had the ear infection last week, Claire is more cuddly throughout the day. She would go off and play in the family room, every so often coming to sit on our laps for a cuddle. Her teacher told us that lately there hasn't been a lap in the room that she hasn't been able to find. She simply walks up to one of the teachers, volunteers, or aids and plops down with anyone sitting cross legged. Regardless if they had a baby in their arms or were doing something else. Each time she would look up at them and smile.
Claire's toys are multiplying, and since her birthday is coming up soon
we figured that we had to come up with a solution. With Julie's ability
to search out ideas online and my love of not spending any money, we
decided to use the bookcase that was in the den for now and research some crafty Ikea options.
'So...are these toys for play or for show?'
'Choose ONE?'
'I'll choose one at a time to take off the shelf if that is what you mean."
