Claire has been giving Julie and I kisses for the better part of a month, she even started giving closed mouth kisses to us last week (the open mouth are much more common). Apparently we forgot to warn daycare to watch out. When one of her teachers looked away Claire planted a nice wet one right her the lips as she turned her head. She didn't do it to her primary teacher who has kids and is used to it. No...she kissed the other teacher who is in her mid 20's and doesn't have kids...so a wet open mouth kiss from an 11 month old was a first for her. Claire did the same thing to me this morning only missed and ended up licking my beard, which I imagined tickled because she giggled. The next 5 minutes was a game of trying to keep her from licking my beard with her giggling while sticking her tongue out.
Luckily the shiner only lasted a night, you couldn't even tell that she had bumped herself the next morning (if only my bruises healed that easily). She has an appointment with the ENT on Monday, so we will update afterwards.
