A tumble

It was bound to happen sooner rather than later; Claire had her first tumble at daycare. Our daredevil daughter likes to pull-up and climb on things and then let one hand go and then the other hand....the concept of gravity still alludes her so a tumble was definitely in her future.

Claire loves the 'loft' at daycare. It's three padded steps to a landing and then down a ramp. Our adventurist daughter lost her balance on the steps and took a tumble down, hitting her cheek. They called me at work to let me know about the accident.  I stopped by to see her during lunch and she was happy and content.  They showed me where she had hit her cheek and I couldn't even see a mark so thankfully the tumble was minor.

At the end of the day I received an 'accident report' that detailed the entire event.  Bumps and bruises are inevitable part of increased mobility; we felt really good about the way daycare handled the whole situation.  They are more aware that Claire can be a bit of a daredevil and extra viligence is a must.

Below are some photos of Claire with her favorite duck book.
