Thursday was Julie's birthday, and Claire and her spend the day at the doctors for the follow up appointment for her ears. The good news is one ear cleared up, the bad news is it was a double ear infection before so Claire needs to go on augmentin for the next 10 days to hopefully clear up the other ear. She continues to be our smiley happy daughter, despite trying to rip her ears off.
On a side note the first round of antibiotics for Claire were flavored with bubblegum, great for toddlers horrible for infants. No matter what we tried to mix it with she turned her nose up at it...bubblegum flavored oatmeal, bubblegum flavored peaches, and even bubblegum flavored milk. We were happy that this round isn't flavored, it just taste like medicine and of course she took it without an issue. We didn't even have to mix it with food.
Proof life changes with a child, this years birthday consisted of a 26 minute meal at our local Mexican restaurant with Claire, instead of the
weekend long birthday extravaganza from last year. But you know I wouldn't trade this for anything.

Here is a photo of a craft project Julie did with some old seed packets from Fredonia, but found in Rochester. We have two of these frames hanging in our kitchen.
We are looking forward to homecoming weekend on campus and catching up with some good friends.
