Labor Day Weekend

Happy Labor day, we certainly enjoyed our long weekend. We spent this labor day actually laboring on making the base for our new shed (and by we, I mean Cory). Julie and Nana worked inside on preparing meals for the week and making Claire peach baby-food, so Dad and Papa could focus on the manual labor.

Now that Claire is eating more solids Julie has started making Claire's baby food. So far she has made peaches, carrots, and peas - this week she will attempt green beans. Claire eats two 'meals' a day. At lunch time she eats oatmeal with a little fruit mixed in and a veggie - usually squash or sweet potato. In the evening she eats another veggie - usually peas and carrots and for 'dessert' some peaches or pears.

Claire is changing so much so quickly, from sitting up to reaching for everything to trying to crawl. It is amazing how much she can change even in a single day. It has become more difficult to contain her in your arms, or on a blanket; she now needs room to move. Even this past week she has started to throw her weight from one person to another, depending on who she wants to hold her.
