Claire at Seven Months:
- Sitting up on her own, she can lay on her stomach and get herself to a seated position.
- She is almost crawling, but hasn't quite gotten the two hands-two knees concept.
- When we play on the floor she tries to pull up on us, usually making it to her knees, sometimes a standing position.
- She wants to explore, reaching and grabbing for everything she sees.
- If we don't make it to her room upon the first noise in the morning, we are likely to find her sitting in the center of the crib reaching for us, almost saying 'took you long enough.'
- She loves 'solid' foods, but overall roasted peaches seems to be her favorite (thanks Nana).
- We have started to introduce teething biscuits and yogurt bites.
- Claire still doesn't have any teeth (despite dad thinking she has been teething since three months).
- Still wears size three diapers, but wears a size 4 diaper overnight.
- She is regularly wearing 12 month tops and 12-18 month pants.
- She likes venturing off the play blanket onto the carpet or hardwood floor for a different texture.
- Is adjusting to daycare, the naps are getting better and drop offs are getting easier (on Mom and Dad).
- She is getting more vocal, especially at night. She is cooing, making the yum sound when eating, and is babbling in response to anyone talking around her.
- When she is in your arms and wants to go to someone else she actively leans towards them.
- Her hair is starting to curl on the sides and the back (where it's the longest), especially after a bath.
- She loves the camera, when they pulled out a camera at daycare she stopped playing and smiled at the teacher until the camera was put away. Dad has taught her well.
